Edward James Mushinski, age 89 of Sahuarita, AZ, formerly of Hessville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
He is survived by his daughter, Peggy (Ray) Rygiel of Sahuarita AZ ,formerly of Valparaiso;
sister, Marianne Story of San Ramon, CA ; also survived by Jeanette Smith of Camarilla, CA; Donnie (Evelyn) Crady of New Albany, IN; Joan Crady of Jeffersonville, IN and  numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years,
Dorothy Faye Mushinski and his parents, John and Ellen Mushinski.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Lee Roy Floyd and Dr. Alan Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m.
Ed was a lifetime resident of Hammond and a longtime                                      faithful member of Hessville Baptist Church. Ed was a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII and served in the Asiatic Pacific Area on the islands of Peleliu and Angaur. He retired from Inland Steel as a Plant Protection Manager in 1986. Ed was a member of the Inland Steel 25 Year Club, YMCA Dart Ball League and the Calumet Area Men's Retirement Club.
