Edward Arnold Williford, age 71, of Hammond passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Margaret Hack and
Melissa Hack;
6 grandchildren: Melissa, April, Martha, Kevin, Lindsey and Margaret;
2 great grandchildren: Noah and Autumn;
1 sister, Pat (Dick) Lewis;
Numerous nieces,, nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Belva Williford; sister, Karen Wilson and long time companion, Joyce Seward.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Bob Parnell officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday morning, January 27th at Bocken Funeral Home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Ed has been a resident of the Calumet Area since 1943.
He was proud of his military service as an airman in the U.S. Navy. Ed retired in 2001 after working for over 27 years at LTV Steel. He enjoyed "tinkering" with cars and going to Chicago, where he would often visit the museums. His favorite place to have a "cup of joe" and meet friends was at Petro's and the Hessville Restaurant. Ed was a very giving person, always kind hearted, helpful and wonderful friend to many.
