Emilio Ibarra Jr., age 72, of Hammond, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

He is survived by his ex-wife. Linda C. Ibarra, five children: Emilio (Jennifer) Ibarra III, Nicole Ibarra (Jesse), Nora (Donald) Beavers, Ciprian Espinosa Jr., Laura (David) Dubeck; sisters: Cindy Ibarra and Silvia (Pascuel) Ramirez; as well as many grandkids and great grandkids.

Preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Josephine Ibarra; sisters: Rosemary and Sophia Ibarra; brother James Ibarra.

Family and friends are invited for visitation on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Bocken Funeral Home, located at 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, IN 46323. Funeral service will take place at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Father Charles Mosley.

Emilio was a lifelong resident of the region and a proud graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1971. He was a devoted member of St. Catherine of Siena Church and dedicated many years of service to Inland Steel, Local 1010. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports, especially cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Above all, Emilio cherished spending time with his family, who meant the world to him.
