Eric Michael Sims, age 17 of Demotte, was taken from this life in a tragic car accident on Saturday, May 22, 2010.

He is survived by his Mother: Erica (nee, Boilek) (Richard) Fisher

Father: Michael (Brandi L.) Sims

Sisters and Brothers: Malia, Rachel, Mike, Ashley, Alissa, Ella, Osias and Austin

Grandparents: Deborah Glanowski, Tyreeta Byers, Linda Chalifoux, Debra Boilek and Charles Sims

Great-Grandmother: Barbara Baughman

His uncle, Jay and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins

Waiting for him in Heaven is his loving grandfather and best friend; Joseph Boilek.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue , Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Larry Raftery officiating. Private Cremation will follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, May 27th at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Eric was born on January 8, 1993 in Hammond . He attended Caldwell School , Scott Middle School and his freshman year at Morton High School before moving to Demotte. For 8 years he participated in the Hessville Youth Hoops. He was a Junior at Kankakee Valley High School and also worked as a cashier for Alco in Demotte. Eric was a fantastic big brother and always took care of his sisters. He was a loving son and grandson who was full of life. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
