Esther E. Sutton, age 96, of Hessville Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2017.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Diane Betts; three grandchildren:  Sherrel Mack, Tim Sutton, Susan (Kevin) Thompson; four great grandchildren: Stefanie, Susan & Steven Mack, Andrew Thompson; and three great, great grandchildren: Cooper Redding, Adelynn Conklin and Demi Rae Mack.

Preceded in death be her beloved husband, Clarence Sutton; son, Clarence Sutton Jr; parents, Clem & Lilly Schroth; brother, Doran Schroth.

Private Services and burial were held at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond.

Esther was born in Elkhart, IN on August 29, 1920 and moved to Hammond, where she made her home in the Hessville area.  She enjoyed bowling for many years, crocheting, watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears games, and stopping by the American Legion Post 232 to visit with friends.  Those lucky to know Esther enjoyed her sense of humor and telling it like it is.  We will miss her every day and keep her in our hearts.
