Eula Mae Bean, age 81 of Hammond passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2011 at the Riley Residence in Munster.
She is survived by her five children; Garry (Rebecca) Bean, Norma (Randy) Running, Chuck Bean, Dorothy Gill and Patricia Smith.
She is Grandmother of 15 and Great Grandmother of 39 and one on the way.
One Sister In Law"Sister" Trixie Groce and long time friend Janice Tinsley. Numerous nieces, Nephews, friends and faithful companion Ginger.
Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Thomas Bean, parents Elmas Sr and Tennie Wright, Brothers James and Elmas Wright and sisters Edith and Thelma Wright.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 10am directly at the Black Oak Baptist Church 6502 West 25th Avenue, Gary, IN. with Pastor Bob Parnell Officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery,Schererville,IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday January 31, 2011 from 4pm until 8pm.a Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) and on Tuesday from 9am until 10am at Black Oak Baptist Church.
Eula has been a longtime resident of the region. She was a faithful member of Black Oak Baptist Church. She loved cooking and baking for her family during the Holidays and enjoyed playing Bingo. Eula was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother and friend who was always there when needed, she will be deeply missed.
