Evelyn M. Iliff, age 94, of Hammond, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 23, 2013.
She is survived by her three daughters;
Connie (Larry) DePaoli, Joanne Iliff (Jeronimo Garza), Cynthia (late David) VanAlstine. Seven grandchildren; Fred DePaoli, Carrie Bukowski, Anita Champion, Lydia Osborne, Nick White, Lisa and Laura VanAlstine: Ten great-grandchilren, One great-great grandchild; nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, C. Warren Iliff and 2nd love Bernard "Brad" Bradley; parents, Martin and Bertha Potter; sisters, Pauline & Esther; brothers Olaf & Phil.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Order of the Eastern Star service will be held at 6.30pm in the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home with Pastor James Thomson officiating.
Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.
Born in Anthony, Kansas, Evelyn has been a resident of the region for the past 78 years and a faithful member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Hammond for over 70 years. She retired from Hill's News Agency as office manager in 1980. She enjoyed doing various types of crafts and traveling when she was able. Evelyn's passion was serving in the Order Of The Eastern Star, Abbey Chapter where she was past Most Worthy Grand Matron and a member for over 50 years.
Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great and great- great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association.
