Fern M. Ross, age 82 of Rio Rancho, NM, formerly of Dyer and Hammond entered into eternal life on Monday, March 11, 2013.
She is survived by 4 daughters:
Nancy (Doug) Cunningham of Jasper, AL,
Shirley (Ray G.)Blanco of Rio Rancho, NM,
Margie (Joe) Glod of Blum, TX,
Sher (Henry) Szybiak of Hammond;
one son, Larry (Emma) Stover of Cedar Lake;
14 grandchildren;
one sister, Nadine McClure;
several neices, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Albert K. Ross; daughter. Linda Ziemkowski; parents, Claude and Nona Byerley; brother, Alfred Byerley.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville).
Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, March 15th from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home.
Fern was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area until 2010 when she moved to New Mexico to be near her family.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and a beloved friend to many.  Fern will best be remembered for her kindness toward others and her sweet spirit.
