Florence Anne Bandura, age 87, of Hammond, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 24, 2014.

She is survived by three children: Andrea (David) Romanak,

Jeffrey (Jeanette) Bandura and Susan (Phillip) Britt;

4 Grandchildren: Adam and Kevin Romanak, Michelle and Colleen Britt;

1 sister, Eleanor Fritz;

1 brother, Richard (Jan) Chronowski;

2 brothers-in-law: Steve (Sophie) Bandura,

Joe (Marge) Bandura;

1 sister-in-law, Leanore  Bandura;

Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew "Andy" Bandura; parents, Peter and Susan Chronowski.

Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) followed by a

Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Rev. Charles Mosley celebrant. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Tuesday morning at Bocken Funeral Home

from 9:00 a.m. until the prayer service at 10:30 a.m.

Florence was born and raised in East Chicago and was a 1945 graduate of East Chicago Roosevelt High School. She was a longtime faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, the Rosary Society and the Quilting Club. She enjoyed going to the movies, the theatre and walking. Florence was an avid Chicago White Sox and Bulls fan. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.

Florence was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord and her church.  She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and beloved friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org
