Gene Allen Aube, age 72, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2013.
He is survived by 4 children:
Kimberly (Michael) Schroeder,
Ronald (Patty) Szyndrowski,
Brian (Shelray) Aube and Chris (Deanna) Szyndrowski;
8 Grandchildren: Kevin, Jeff, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Grace, Samantha, Karissa and Isabella,
Several nieces, nephews, one aunt, one uncle and a host of  friends.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Fran Aube;
brother, Don Aube; parents, Florent and Pearl Aube.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 5,2013 at 3:30 p.m. from Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville).
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, February 5, 2012 at Bocken Funeral Home, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Private cremation will burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville will be held at a later date.
Gene was a longtime resident of the Calumet Area. He was a 1958 graduate of Morton High School and made his home in the Hessville section of Hammond. He was a local businessman who for many years owned and operated the Kenwood Lanes in Hessville. Gene was an avid bowler and he also enjoyed golfing. He was a U. S. Army veteran and served his country with pride. Gene was a devoted and loving father, grandfather and a dear friend who will be greatly missed.
