Gerald "Gerry" Martin Foster, age 76, of Hammond passed away peacefully on his birthday, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by three children: Michelle Fliris, Melinda (James) Margraff and Scott Foster; eight grandsons: Robert Jones, Terrance Jones, Kenneth (Deborah) Jones, Jeff Fliris, Eric Fliris, Brian Heinrichs, Joshua Heinrichs and Gerald Foster; two great granddaughters: twins, Lillian and Olivia Jones; two sisters: Dorothy Ward and Nancy Lennon; several nieces, nephews, friends and his faithful best friend "Zeus".

Preceded in death by his parents: Err and Helen Foster; three sisters: Marge Brown, Eunice Randolph and Doris Gergeley.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Saturday, July 18th from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Gerry was born on July 15, 1939 in Hammond and has lived in numerous parts of the country including Florida and Las Vegas. Gerry enjoyed gambling at the casinos, betting on horses and he loved spending time with women. In his own words, "Good time Gerry was here but now is gone". Gerry was a loving and devoted father, brother and friend to many.
