Gilbert Rebeles Sr, age 23, of Hammond, IN passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 1, 2013 in La Crosse, WI.       He is survived by his mother Ann Margaret Quiroz, step father Johnny Young; 1 son Gilbert Rebeles Jr., 1 sister; Julia Rebeles , 1 brother; Julian Robert Rebeles Sr., 2 nieces; Kamalia and Kamora Wells, 1 nephew; Julian Robert Rebeles Jr., many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death 1 brother; Phillip Joseph Quiroz, 1 nephew; Kamal'Lee Wells, grandparents; Margaret and Phillip Quiroz and 1 uncle; Phillip "Chon" Quiroz.
Funeral Services  will be held on Saturday, June  8, 2013,  with prayers at Bocken Funeral Home at 8.30am followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10am  at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 3200 East 91st Street, Chicago, IL 60617. Private Cremation to follow.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 7,2013 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville).                   Gilbert attended Clark High school. He was a loving and fun young man who had a great sense of humor. Whether telling a joke or pulling a prank Gilbert loved making people laugh.  He enjoyed working on cars and both playing and watching sports, he was a big fan of the Chicago bears and bulls.
