Known as "Ronnie", Herbert Ronald was the retired part-owner of Almira's Pastry Shop, Inc. He was an expert baker for over 50 years. In retirement, Ronnie spent much time fishing, especially in Ely, Minnesota and was especially known for his realistic and beautiful taxidermy hobby. Friends and neighbors often sent him hunting and fishing specimens to be preserved. The Chicago Cubs have also lost one of their most ardent fans for he rarely missed a game. His lovely flower gardens were also the result of much of his attention. In spite of life-long deafness, he defeated the affliction with the joy in which he relished life.
