Rev. Hilton D. Bryant , age 82, of Hessville, peacefully went to his heavenly home on Monday July 15, 2013 .
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Betty Wanetta Bryant (Nee Snyder);
Two loving children: Sue A. (Richard W.) Strayer and Daniel W. (Diane) Bryant;
4 wonderful grandchildren: Jacob and Adam Strayer,  Jessica (Matthew) Gonzalez and Kristina (Guillermo) Favela;
Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends.
Preceded in death by his parents ,Wesley and Chloe Bryant, brothers and  sister.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 24,2013 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at Terrace Park Church of God,  3104-173rd Street,  Hammond (Hessville) with Rev. Edward Cunningham, officiating. Burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. (eastern time) at Fair Cemetery, in Lakeville, IN.
Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue,
Hammond (Hessville) on Tuesday, July 23rd  from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m..
and also on Wednesday morning at Terrace Park Church of God from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m.
Pastor Bryant was a long time resident of the Calumet Area and served the Hessville community and the City of Hammond in various capacities thru out the past 43 years.  He was actively involved in many area ministry programs . In addition, he devoted much time to Yellow Creek Lake Youth Camp, serving as treasurer in the past. Pastor Bryant proudly served our country in the U.S. Army Airforce during the Korean conflict. He recently retired from Terrace Park Church of God as senior Pastor after 43 years and became their associate pastor. Hilton was a very loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.  He was a person who could always be counted on.
