Irene Ann Anderson, age 94, of Hammond passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2012.
She is survived by her three daughters; Sharon Mikulich, Carolyn (Gene) Keister and Gail (Jim) Wilson.

Seven grandchildren; John Grant Mikulich, Brian (Pam) Keister, Brandon (Viktoria)Keister, Lanna (Brent) Frazier, Jennifer (Nick) Aullman, Sarah Wilson and Jeremiah (Bridget) Wilson.
Nine great grandchildren; Willow, Remi and Ridglynn Aullman, Troy and Linley Frazier, Abbigail Wilson, Andrew, Brianna and Rhianna Keister.
Many In laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Kenneth E. Anderson, Son Kenny A. Anderson, parents George (Anna) Papach, brother George , three sisters Clara, Lillian and Esther.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.  directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church,, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville), with Rev. Charles Mosley celebrant.  Burial to follow at Memory Lane Memorial Gardens in Schererville.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday January 10th from 2-8pm at the Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) and Wednesday morning at the church from 9:15 a.m. until the mass at 10:00 a.m.
Irene was born in Whiting, and is a lifetime resident of the region. She was a 1935 graduate of Hammond High School and formerly attended  St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Irene retired in 1978 from Key Market after 25 years where she was a bookkeeper. She is a member of the Slovak Ladies Association, American Legion Auxiliary Post #369, Hammond Tech Booster Club and the Retail clerks Union.
Irene enjoyed dancing, and watching sports, she was an avid bowler and Bull's fan. she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was loved by all who knew her.
