Irian Layne Cunningham, age 59, of Hammond passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20,2014.

He is survived by brothers; Dennis and Douglas (Nancy) of Jasper AL, sisters: Deloris Voris and Sandi Hogan of Hammond and Barb Cunningham of Munster, nieces and nephews: Misti (Jody) Smith, Dennis Dufault, Larry (Darlene) Foy, Nathan Hogan, Dustin (Kelly) Voris, Amanda (Jeromy) Williams, Douglas Cunningham, Aaron Cunningham, Brian Weatherly, many cousins and life long friends.

Preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Cunningham and brother Larry.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Scott Ferry officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home on Saturday October 25,2014 for a memorial visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Layne was a life long Hammond resident. He was a chef that loved to cook for his family and friends. He loved his video games and always had an ear or shoulder for his friends when needed. Layne was a kind and loving brother and friend who was a strong supporter of equal rights. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten.
