Jacquelyn Sue Carr, age 61, of Hessville passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2011.
She is survived by her only son, Christopher Sikich of Philadelphia, PA and many dear friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Jeanette Carr.
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Jacquie Carr will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 7:00pm at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00pm
Jacquie was born on May 10, 1949 in East Chicago and has lived in the Hessville section of Hammond for most of her 61 years. She was a graduate of Morton High School and a longtime custodian in the School City of Hammond. Jacquie coached Morton's successful Science Olympiad team in the late 1990s and early 2000s and was an active member of SEIU Local 73.
