He was a charter member and faithful parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church; and was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Alfred's Council #4933. James was a proud U.S. Navy veteran having served his country during WW II. After working over 40 years as an engineer he retired from Conrail. James enjoyed playing golf and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He dearly loved his family and spending time with them. He even enjoyed "throwing a few slots"!
