James Murphy, age 58, of Hobart, formerly of Hammond, entered into eternal life on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
He is survived by 4 sisters: Susan, Annette, Janet and Anna Murphy; 1 brother, Johnny Murphy; nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Michelle, Bobby and Nicole;

6 great nieces and nephews: Alec, Cameron, Calli, Isaiah, Caleb and Tyler; numerous cousins and dear friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Dorothy Murphy.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. noon, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Orlando Soler                       officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.

Jim was a resident of the Hessville Area for over 50 years before moving to Hobart. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
