Jeffrey Gilman Gyure, age 40 of Highland, formerly of Hammond, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, May 19, 2012.
He is survived by his mother Therese Gyure (nee Spindler)
Sister's Tracy and Kelly and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his father Douglas Gilman Gyure, grandparents John (Agatha) Spindler (Nee Wachter) and Delores Gyure (Nee Keister) and Louis Gyure. Uncle Anthony "Tony" Spindler and Aunt Gayle Dado (Nee Gyure)
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10am DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond with Father Charles Mosley celebrant, Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday from 3-8pm at Bocken Funeral Home. 7042 Kennedy Avenue , Hammond (Hessville) and at the Church on Friday from 9.30am until the time of the Mass.
Jeff was a 1990 graduate of Morton High School, then attended Purdue Calumet University. Jeff was employed at Lear Corp. In Hammond as a master mechanic. He loved camping, motorcycles, the outdoors and life in general. Jeff considered his birthday May 12th a national holiday calling it "Jeff's Day". His birthday parties were famous with countless friends and family attending. Jeff will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
