Jeffrey Paul Short, age 55, of Hammond, formerly of Valparaiso passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.
He is survived by 3 children;
2 brothers: James E., Jr. (Susan) Short,
Richard (Vivian) Short;
1 sister, Jill (Charles) Noonan;
several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Lorraine L. (Pester) Short.

Services will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for a time of visitation and reflection at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville).
Private cremation will follow the service.

Jeff was born and raised in Valparaiso and has recently been living in Hammond. He was a graduate of Valparaiso High School class of 1976. During his high school years he enjoyed playing football along with other sports.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
