Jerry G. Slaven, age 67, of Hammond entered eternal life on Thursday, October 20, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pamela Slaven; two children: Sherry (friend Charles) Klut and Steve (Natalie) Slaven; nine grandchildren: many great grandchildren; two sisters: Kathy (Bob) Parker and Janet (Gary) Allen; numerous nieces, nephews, cousin and friends including his best fishing buddies Joshua, Jason and Chet.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Plina Slaven.

Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial visitation on Saturday, October 29,2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond, IN 46323.

Jerry has been a resident of Hammond for over 50 years, He attended Hammond Tech. Jerry enjoyed coaching the little league North Hammond Hermits when his son, then grandson played. He was retired from Dover Chemical as a Truck Driver and Spotter. Jerry loved cooking, hunting and fishing, fishing, fishing. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing lottery scratch offs.  In lieu flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
