John R. "Bob" Grzeczka age 74, of Hammond passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2011.
He is survived by his 4 daughters: Diana Grzeczka;
Debi (Dale) Duffy; Janet (Darryl) Climer and
Linda (Scott) Grzeczka;
9 grandchildren: David (Michelle) Grzeczka; Edith (Trevor)Davis; Tony, Matthew and Casey Climer; Samantha and Lukas Vigliotti; Alannah and Brendah Davis;
4 great grandchildren;Damian,Madison and Mason Grzeczka. one sister, Dorothy (Ray) Rowe;
one niece; Judy Cole and three nephews;Bob, Jack and Keith Rowe.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Sylvia V. (nee, Dumbar) Grzeczka and his parents, John and Irene Grzeczka.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Bob Parnell officiating. Private cremation will follow.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home.
Bob has lived in the Hessville section of Hammond for the past 49 years and was the owner and operator of the Portage Dental Lab. Bob was a member of the American Dental Association and provided free dental service to the handicap and those in need. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran. Bob was formerly a licensed gunsmith and loved hunting and fishing. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and a dear brother and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
