John R. Hrycak, age 75, of Crown Point, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joyce J. Hrycak (Nee Backus); two children: Twila Hobson and Gerald Fulkerson; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Janet (Bob) Shelton numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends.

Preceded in death by parents; John and Helen Hrycak.

John was born in East Chicago and was raised in Calumet City, IL. He was retired from LTV steel as a pipefitter. John enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and water sports. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. directly at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8178 Cline Avenue, Schererville, 46307.  Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) entrusted with arrangements.
