John S. Lipkovitch, age 91, of Hammond entered into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

He is survived by his son, Edward (Cathy) Lipkovitch of Burns Harbor; daughter, Mary (Mike) Poore of Indianapolis; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four siblings: Louise, Robert, Paul and Chester; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is now reunited in heaven with his wife of 64 years, Carol Ann Lipkovitch (nee Stice) parents, John and Frances Lipkovitch; daughter: Linda and his twins: James and Julie; nine siblings; and his beloved dog, Buster.

Cremation has taken place according to John's wishes no further service to be held at this time. Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond IN 46323 entrusted with arrangements.

John was born in East Chicago, but was a long-time resident of Hessville. He was an Army Veteran and went on to be a machinist at Blaw-Knox for 34 years until retirement. John loved his fishing trips to Wisconsin, bowling, playing video games, taking care of animals and his weekend trips to the Casino. His nurturing, kind and giving spirit was displayed in his trips with Carol to their Florida condo with their "original nine". John will be missed by all who loved him.
