John Harold Osborne, age 58, of Hammond entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

He is survived by his children: Angel (Germaine) Moss and Nancy (Jacob) Moss; grandchildren: Brianna, Heaven, Nevaeh, Layla and Liam; father: John S. (Cheryl) Osborne; siblings: Mark (Patricia) Osborne, Sandra (David) Mangel, Julie (Greg) Brock, Sharon (Jeff) Morris, Robert (Ashley) Manns, Jason (Denise) Osborne; step-siblings: Maureen Baran, Barbara Hensley, Tim Hensley, Robert Hensley, Bryan Hensley, Kevin Benson, Chuck Manns, Debby Seldomridge, Dale Manns; step mother, Judy Osborne as well as numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Theresa Osborne (nee Jones) mother, Aurelia Manns; grandparents: Harold and Maybelle Osborne.

Friends and family are invited for a time of visitation on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home. 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, IN 46323. Funeral service will take place at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation will follow.

John was a member of the First Christian Church of Hessville, he was a proud Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 232. John was retired from the U.S Post Office after working 30 years as a maintenance person.

John was all about family, he adored his daughters and was honored to wear the name "Pop" to his grandchildren. His face lit up whenever he talked about them.  John loved hanging out with his friends over a cold beer, listening to country music, working crosswords puzzles, he loved his Cubs, Bears and Hawks. He never met a stranger and opened his door to anyone in need. John was a warrior these past years fighting cancer…He will be deeply missed.
