John Thomas Wilson, age 76, of Hammond, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 31, 2020.

He is survived by his sons: Clarence (Kim) Thomas Wilson and Franklin Wilson; grandson, James Wilson; siblings: Judy Fowler, Grace Homer, Joanie (Jerry) Stokes and Don (Loraine) Wilson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Elizabeth Wilson.

Friends and family are invited to a  memorial visitation on Thursday September 10, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond. Face masks are required per Covid-19 guidelines.

John Wilson was a lifetime resident of Hammond, a graduate of Morton Senior High School. He was an Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. John was a member of  American Legion Post 232. He retired from Hyre Electric Company where he was an electrician for many years.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his friends.
