Joseph Marshall Romero

Hammond/Merrillville, IN

July 3, 1978 – December 30, 2023

Joseph Marshall Romero, age 45, of Merrillville formerly of Hammond entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, December 30, 2023, after a long battle with lung cancer.

He is survived by his mother, Anita Louise Witkowski; two children: Rae Louise Romero and Joseph Marshal Romero; four grandchildren: Jannette, Noeva, Allen and Mia Romero; God-mother, Donna Batliner; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including close friends: Chris Wells and Billie Ridinger

Preceded in death by his father, Papa Joe.

Cremation Services were held private with a memorial service to be held in the spring.

Joseph was a lifetime resident of the region where he attended Calumet Township High School. In his free time, he loved being outdoors in nature and he loved dogs.
