Josephine Mary Horgash age 86, of Hessville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2011.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years,

Steve J. Horgash,

one daughter, Barbara (Charles) King of Highland;

2 sons, David (Pamela) Horgash of Springville, TN;

Stephen (Deborah) Horgash of Gray, TN;

5 grandchildren: David (Michele) Horgash, Jr.;

Christina, Robert, Stephen and Michael Horgash;

2 great grandchildren, Kaitlin and David Horgash;

2 sisters, Antoinette Olivotto and Nancy Roberts;

brother, Ralph Nuzzo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Mary Nuzzo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 6525 Kentucky Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with

Father Larry Kew celebrant. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, March 20th from

4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). There will be a time of viewing at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10:00 a.m.

Josephine was born on April 10, 1924 in East Chicago and was a 1942 graduate of East Chicago Roosevelt High School. She and her husband have lived in the Hessville section of Hammond for over 50 years. Josephine was a longtime faithful member of St. Catherine of Siena Church and the Hessville Chapter of T.O.P.S. Club. Josephine enjoyed reading a good book, knitting and cooking for her family and many friends. She was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan.
