Joshua Anthony Spencer, age 13, of Hammond, was ushered into the arms of God on Sunday, September 1, 2013 as the result of a tragic accident.
He is survived by his adoring parents: Karen Spencer and Brian Scott along with his loving step-father, Dale Gleason;
grandparents: Anthony and Cathy Spencer, Marla and Paul Bacon, Joyce Gleason and Matthew Papp;
great-grandparents: Bill and Helen Corrie;
many aunts, uncles cousins and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his "Grandma H" and 2 great aunts: Kathy and Penny.
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Josh Spencer will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. directly at Lansing Bible Church, 2200-183rd Street, Lansing, IL.  There will be a time of visitation at the church on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Joshie was born in Hammond on January 20, 2000 and was an 8th grade student at Gavit Middle School. He enjoyed playing video games with his family and friends. Joshie had so many dreams and aspirations and was looking to the future to accomplish his goals.  He was such a kind and and loving son and always thinking of others. Joshie was dearly loved by all who knew him.
