Joyce A. Townley, age 77, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2018.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Leon Townley; one son, Richard Townley; sister, Judy Vanderstein; brother, Jerry Storey; 3 nieces, Rhonda (Jeff) Wilson, Cammie Storey and Kelly Storey Richardson and many dear friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Leona Kay Townley; parents, Robert and Madalyn Storey; brother in-law Bill Vanderstein.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with a time of viewing from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Rev. Mark Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond.

Joyce was born and raised in Hammond and attended Hammond High School. She loved growing her garden of flowers. Joyce attended the Church of Christ in Griffith. She was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.
