Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Panfil

September 9, 1952 - July 22, 2025

Kathleen A. Panfil, age 72, of Michigan City, formerly of Hammond, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy (John) Townsend; two grandchildren: Tyler and Emily Townsend; twin siblings, Judy (Jeff) Lane and Paul Panfil; nephews: Jeffrey Lane, Jason (Jennifer) Lane and Paul Jr. (Miranda) Panfil; nieces: Lisa Lane and Angie (Rob) Corning; as well as numerous great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins and friends.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Ethel Panfil; and niece, Vicki Panfil.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, (Hessville) IN 46323. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home with Father Charles Mosley, officiating. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond will follow.

Kathy was a lifelong resident of the region before relocating to Michigan City six years ago. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching her favorite television shows. Most of all Kathy loved time she spent with her friends at the assisted living facility she called home. Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
