Laurie M. Lannin, age 64, of Hammond, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 22, 2019. She is survived by two children: Stacy Lannin (Marcos Perez) and Shawn Lannin; three grandchildren: Hailey Lannin, Dominick and Arianna Soco; one brother, Kenneth (Nikki) Fehlberg; numerous nieces, cousins, friends and her cat, Buddy. Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Violet Fehlberg; biological mother, Barbara Lappin nee Fehlberg; special friend and ex-husband "Chris" E. Lannin and lifelong best friend Sandy Newsome-Elmore in September of 2018,  and her beloved cat Snooki.

Laurie was born and raised in Hammond and was a lifetime [i]resident. She was a 1972 graduate of Hammond Tech High School and she worked as a legal secretary for several years before getting married and becoming a stay at home mom. She was a loving and special mother, grandmother and soon to be great grandmother. A memorial visitation to celebrate her life will be held on a Saturday, August 24, 2019  at Bocken Funeral Home, friends are invited to meet with the family from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville).
