Lillian Wolfe Anderson, age 98 of Crown Point, IN formerly of Anna, IL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 21, 2011. Lillian was born on December 5, 1912, the daughter of the late Guy Fred and Carrie Clutts Wolfe. She married Charles Anderson of Cobden, IL on March 20, 1934 in Waterloo, IL. Charles preceded her in death on March 30, 1996.

Lillian was the devoted mother of 3 children who survive: Charles Roger (Judy) Anderson of St. John, IN; Vida Lou Mileris of Forest, VA and Michael Lynn (Judith) Anderson of Crown Point, IN.

9 grandchildren: Chuck (Terri) Anderson; Stephen (Rema) Anderson; Charisse Malo; Todd (Susan) Anderson; Dr. Cindy (Dr. Jeff) Tanzar; Rev. Chris (Donna) Lentz; David Lentz; Valerie (Glenn) Jarbo and Kirk (Sherri) Anderson

20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Also surviving 1 sister, Vivian Ellis of Granite City, IL and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers: Hillard and Robert Wolfe; 3 sisters: Frieda Wolfe, Lucille Sanders and Evelyn Ingram.

Lillian was employed at Choate Mental Health Center for several years in behavior research as a supervisor. She was a Christian, was baptized at the age of 16 and faithfully attended church. She served in many capacities at her church as long as her health permitted. She sold her home 2 years ago and moved to Crown Point, IN to be near her children.

There will be a time of visitation on Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. directly at the First Church of the Nazarene in Anna, IL. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Richard Keeley and her grandson, Pastor Chris Lentz officiating. Lillian will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Cobden Cemetery, Cobden, IL.
