Linda Sue Burton, age 75, of Hammond, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 20, 2017.

She is survived by her two loving daughters: Deborah (Roger) Jackson and Teresa Burton; two Grandchildren: Dewayne (Penny) Frazier and Raymond Frazier; five great grandchildren: Isabella, Alivia, Mariah, Cadence and Phoenix; one brother Jim (Zelma) Donelson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Paul Burton; parents: Roy and Pauline Donelson.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Rev. John Clement officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Bocken Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Sue was born in Harrisburg, IL and later made her home in Hammond. Sue was a longtime faithful member of Woodmar Baptist Church where she taught 2nd grade Sunday School Class and worked in the nursery.

She enjoyed attending Southern Gospel Concerts and listening to Gospel music. Sue was a very Godly, giving and family orientated woman who enjoyed cooking and spending time with family especially the grand children and great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and dear grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
