Lloyd C. Horvath, age 85, of Dyer, formerly of Hammond passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 7, 2010.

He is survived by 2 sons;

Charles (Marnie Olson) Silver of New Orleans, LA

Larry (Carlette) Horvath of Dyer

1granddaughter; Lisa (Donald) Binkley of Merrillville

2 great grandchildren: Lukas and Logan Binkley

Sister: Darlene Angel of Munster

Several nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years; Mary "Lou" (Cooper) Horvath and his parents; Joseph and Mildred Horvath

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Roger Storms officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, December 12 ^th from 4 unitl 8 p.m., at 7PM Indiana Harbor Lodge #686 F.&A.M. will conduct a service.

Born and raised in Hammond Lloyd was a graduate of Hammond Tech High School and a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Woodmar. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and served his country during the Korean Conflict. W.B. Lloyd Calvin Horvath was a 50 year member of Indiana Harbor Lodge #686 F.&A.M. and in 1969 was W.M. of Lodge #686. He was Past Commander of Hammond Commandery #41, Eminent Prior J. Herbert Nichols Priory #76 and was awarded the Knight York Cross of Honor. Lloyd was also a member of Orak Shrine of Michigan City and 32 ^nd Degree Member of South Bend

Scottish Rite Consistory.

He was a very caring and loving father and grandfather.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in favor of Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2211 North Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707.
