IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lorene G.
(Goetz) Innes
April 6, 1926 – December 15, 2025
Lorene G. Innes
Nee Goetz
Lorene Innes of the Hessville Area of Hammond, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday Dec. 15th, just four months shy of her 100th birthday. She was a farm girl from Missouri, being taught the values of hard work, discipline, respect, and an appreciation for what a person truly has. Raised as a Missouri Synod Lutheran, Lorene instilled her strong Christian faith to her children. She had a sweet tenderness, held many jobs, traveled to Europe, loved to read, had amazingly awesome hair, a great sense of humor, taught the true fondness for strong, black coffee to others, and made a delicious meatloaf on occasion.
Preceded in death by husband U.S. Army Master Sergeant Roy L. Innes, years-long friend James Towers, daughter Joyce, and son Roy. Lorene is survived by twin sons Brian (Linda) and David (Helenka) Innes, granddaughter Lauren (Chris) Baranowski, grandson Josh Innes, great grandchildren Thatcher and Chase - and countless, loving Missouri relatives.
We take comfort in knowing that when she closed her eyes for the last time, she re-opened them in the majesty and brilliant beauty of heaven, nestled safely and comfortably, healthy and whole, in our loving Savior's Arms. Her family wholeheartedly thanks all who have outpoured their sincere, genuine love and support during this most difficult time. No services will be held. Friends may contact Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue , Hammond, IN (219)844-1600 for additional information.
