Loretta Helen Leonard, nee Brown age 78, of Hammond, entered into the presences of her Heavenly Father on Saturday February 8,2014.
She leaves to mourn her loss two loving daughters: Susan Mahoney and Christine Ladd; grandchildren: Steven Leonard and Shannon Mahoney; sister, Thelma (Paul) Hmura ; brother, Larry (Brenda) Brown; sister in law,  Judy Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her devoted husband of 48 years Thomas J. Leonard; son, Steve E. Leonard; and brother, Patrick Brown.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 12,2014 at 10am from the Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Burial at Elmwood Cemetery will follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Bocken Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 11,2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Loretta was born in Champaign, IL and came to this area in 1951. She attended St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church.  Loretta drove a school bus for School City of Hammond for 15 years before retiring in 1996. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and spending time with her lady friends. Loretta was a loving and devoted Mother and her grandchildren were the love of her life.
