Lorraine Dolores Boren
(nee, Parren)
Hessville
Lorraine Dolores Boren, age 83 of Hessville, went home to be with the Lord on the first day of the new year, Sunday, January 1, 2012.
She is survived by 5 children: Connie (Bob) Emery, Kenneth (Joan) Boren, Bruce (Amy) Boren, Lorie (Joe) Minor and Lorna (Barry) Moore;
grandchildren: Matt (Vicki) Emery, Amber Groeling, Eva (Joey) Kwasniak, Zach (Liz) Boren, Titus (Rachel) Emery, Vicki, Cassi and Doug Moore, Kimary, Kyle, Austin and Connor Boren, Larry, Spencer and Kallee Minor, Ethan and Taylor Ogorek ;
great grandchildren: Jessica and Christopher Gonzales, Tyler and Marissa Emery, Hayden and Logan Kwasniak;
many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years,
Lawrence K. Boren; parents, Clyde and Della Parren and step-brother, Joe Parren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at
10:00 a.m. Directly at Bethel Bible Church, 1138-173rd St., Hammond, IN with Pastor Wesley P. Helfenbein officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, January 5th from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). There will be a time of viewing at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Lorraine was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area and for many years made her home in the Hessville section of Hammond. She was a longtime faithful member of Bethel Bible Church, a dedicated prayer warrior, Sunday school teacher in the junior age dept. and worker in VBS. Lorraine was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a dear friend to many. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Blue Skies Hospice for the excellent care given to Lorraine during her illness.
