Lottie M. Bryk, age 86 of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2011.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Louise Sterett,

Kathleen LaPine and

JoAnna (Tom) Bryk Roach

2 nephews: Mark and Tom Grabowski

great niece, Mary Beth Kokot

2 great great nephews: Daniel and Dean Kokot

Many beloved friends, neighbors and co-workers at the Hammond Public Library.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 26 years,

Henry F. Bryk; 2 brothers, Father Jack Grabowski and Walter (Gene) Grabowski; sister, Josephine (John) Czyszczon; niece, Francine Loar; parents, Joseph and Katherine Grabowski

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Serivices will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7137 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with a time of viewing at the church from 9:15 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with Father Charles Mosley celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL.

Lottie was a lifetime resident of Hammond and a longtime faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society. Lottie retired in 2010 after working for 30 years at the Hammond Public Library in Technical Services. Prior to her employment at the library she worked for 13 years at the Whiting Clinic. Lottie loved working and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted mother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
