Lowell Mullins, age 87, of Hammond, peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2014.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Pauline Mullins;

four loving children: Peggy (Robert) Woosley, Roger (Michelle) Mullins, Doris Trinosky and Pamela O'Gallagher; twelve grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Kancer;

two half brothers; Jim and Ray Mullins, numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dyle and Mattie Mullins, four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Ed Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Bocken Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Lowell was born on April 13,1927 in Pound, Virginia. He  made his home in the Hessville area for the past fifty years. Lowell was a proud Navy and Marine veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a former member of the Hammond VFW Post and long time faithful member of Terrance Park Church of God in Hessville. Lowell was a TV technician and retired from Hammond Electronics' after 45 years. He enjoyed fishing, reading and was a history enthusiast. Lowell will best be remembered as a kind, loving, compassionate, fair and honest man, who was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, great and great great grandfather and friend.
