Lucille Gardner, age 91, of Hillsboro, TN, formerly of Hessville passed away peacefully on Friday, September 21, 2012.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Betty (John) Dimitri of Hillsboro, TN;  1 granddaughter, Tracie Dimitri of Hillsboro, TN;
2 grandsons: Emmitt Dimitri of Hammond, IN and Thomas (Kelly) Dimitri of Huntsville, AL;
2 great grandchildren: Aidan and Katherine Dimitri of Huntsville, AL; several nieces and nephews;
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years Emmitt Felix Gardner  on June 6th of this year,  son, Donald Emmitt Gardner; parents, Samuel and Eula Darnell; 2 sisters: Carl Fults and Dorothy Hunt; 8 brothers: James, Talmadge, Sam, George, Stanley, Louis, Walter and Floyd.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Jeffrey Hannon and Brother Lee Roy Floyd officiating. Burial will  follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, September 26th from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home.
Lucy was a resident of the Hammond, Hessville Area for over 70 years before moving to Tennessee. She was a longtime faithful member of Hessville Baptist Church, where she was a member of the ladies prayer group. Lucy enjoyed being with people, especially her family, doing crafts and going out with the woman  at church. She was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
