Luis Alfredo Berrocal, age 57, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2013.
He is survived by his 4 children: Rebecca (Alan) Aldaba,
Julia (William) Rivera,
Louis and Sonia Morales; and their mother, Lydia Morales;
10 grandchildren;
4 brothers,10 sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Teofilo and Elisa Berrocal along with one brother and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with celebrant Marjorie Kunch officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, September 17th at Bocken Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Luis was born on June 18, 1956 in Lares, Puerto Rico and moved to the Calumet Area in 1972. He was employed by the City of East Chicago for 22 years in the Streets and Sanitation Department; and was a member of Local #142. Luis enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family and friends.
