Marcela Flores, age 86, of Carmel, IN left the earth for her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 3, 2014.

She is survived by two daughters: Marsha (Marvin) VanVoorhis and Jean (Jack) Provines; eighteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers: Norbert (Marjorie) Estrada and Alan Estrada; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents: Norbert and Dorothy Estrada; two husbands: James Heilman and Robert Flores; son: James Heilman; three brothers: John, Robert and David Estrada and one sister, Ellen Ruehl.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Jean Provines, minister of First Christian Church, Council Bluffs, Iowa, officiating.  Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Bocken Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Marcela was a lifetime resident of Hammond until moving to Carmel in 2003. She was a faithful member of Cline Gardens Christian Church in Hessville where she taught Sunday School. She was an American Legion Post 508 Auxiliary member. Marcela was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a dear friend to many who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
