Marilyn Edna Kirby Thompson (nee, Anderson) age 75, of Munster entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, January 29, 2012.
She is survived by Sterling (Edna) Kirby and her 3 children: David Kirby of Denver, CO; Dennis (Ruth) Kirby of Dallas, TX and Linda Kojich of Munster; son-in-law, John Kojich of Whiting;
grandchildren, Heather (Chad) Golecki of Calumet City, IL, Adam and Alex Kojich of Munster;
3 sisters, Vera (late, Sigmund) Albrecht,
Frances (Keith) Bergles and Judy (Bill Eyring) Bond;
one brother, William (Diane) Anderson; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan Kojich, Jr. and her parents, Frank and Edna Anderson.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. directly at First Baptist Church of Lansing, 3440-178th Street, Lansing, IL, with Pastor Michael Eberly. Private cremation will follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday January 31,2012 from 2-8pm at the Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond, (Hessville) and  on Wednesday one hour prior to the service  from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Marilyn has been a resident of the Calumet Area for 50 years and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Lansing for 40 years. Marilyn was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran.
