Maritza Sandoval, age 36, of Whiting, formerly of Chicago, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her son, Ethan Cartagena; 1 brother, Carlos Arredondo; many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her mother; Maria Lourdes Arredondo.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m., with visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Private cremation will follow.

Maritza was employed as a medical assistant at the Whiting Medical Center. She was a loving, mother, daughter, sister and friend. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
