Marjorie Mae Clark, age 82, of Highland, entered into the gates of heaven after a brief illness on Friday, December 2, 2016.

Marjorie was born on February 8, 1934 in Indiana Harbor, the daughter of the late, James and Vada (Cain) Brown. She was the third of their eight children.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Lewis F. Clark, Jr.; seven children: Lewis III of Chicago, Margie of Highland, Kathy (Steve) Miller of Wichita, KS, Jim of Griffith, dee (Sanusi) Mutuwa of Cedar Lake, Glenn (Greg Lebel) of Takoma Park, MD and Bob (Heather) of Valparaiso; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings: Wanda Crumpton of Merrillville, Laura Sprague of Mansfield, OH, Bob Brown of Sun City, AZ, Ed Brown of Tolland, CT; many beloved nieces and nephews.

A woman of strong Christian faith, she was reunited with her parents and her brothers, Jim, Bucky and Dal in heaven. Marjorie was a gifted singer, and for many years was a soloist in churches throughout the Calumet region.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at her church of 65 years, Christian Fellowship Church, 605-165th Street, Hammond.

A celebration of her life and faith will be held on Friday, December 9th at 10:30 a.m. at the church with viewing from 9:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Marjorie's honor to any charity that benefits children.
