Marjorie "Marge" Virginia Treen, age 84 of Hammond, entered into the gates of heaven on, Saturday, August 20, 2011.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Jo Anne (Gary) Herrenbruck of Griffith and Susan (Edward) Neve of LaPorte, IN
5 grandchildren: Elizabeth (Wes) Roush, Joel (Emily) Neve, Jacob (Adrienne) Herrenbruck, Paul Neve and Luke Herrenbruck
4 great grandchildren: Max and Leslie Roush and Lucy and Thomas Neve
Sister In Law Sandy Lutz of Canton, OH
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Vernie S. Treen Jr in 1992 and her parents Charles and Frieda Lutz and brother Richard Lutz.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville), with Pastor James Thomson, officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, August 25th at Bocken Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Marge was a resident of the Hessville section of Hammond for 30 years before retiring to Michigan in 1985 and then returned to be near her children in 1994. She was a faithful member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Womens Sunday school class and Eunice Circle . Marge was a loving mother a devoted grandmother, great grandmother and a dear friend to many. In lieu of fresh flowers memorials in Marjories memory may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church 6709 Arizona Steet, Hammond IN 46323
