Mark Galovic, age 58, of Griffith, entered into eternal life on Thursday, April 9, 2015.
He is survived by his mother, Zora Galovic;

One brother, John Galovic

3 sisters: Mary (late, Mato) Bicanic, Kathy (Mijo) Iveljic,

Ana (Jim) Filby;

One niece, Renata (Steve) Litteral;

3 nephews: Mark Iveljic, Robert (Rhonda) Bicanic,

Mario (Mary Beth) Iveljic;

3 great nieces: Megan, Sarah and Giuliana;

one great nephew, Mario

uncle, Tony Galovic and many cousins in the U.S., Croatia, Australia and Canada.

Preceded in death by his father, John Galovic.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Steve Bedenikovic. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Monday, April 13th from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Mark was born on December 22, 1956 in Croatia and moved to the United States in 1967. He was a 1976 graduate of Morton High School and a graduate of St. Joseph College. He was a self-employed accountant. Mark was well known for his soccer playing in high school and also in college. He was an avid Greenbay Packer fan and he was a loyal Cubs fan. The family wishes to express their grateful appreciation to the many visiting nurses and aids for their tender care given to Mark.
