Martha L. Paiva, age 49, of Hammond, IN entered into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

She is survived by her husband: Brian; son, Matthew (Courtney), grandchildren: Frances and Teddy; father, Renato; sisters: Teresa, Guadalupe and Patty; brothers: J. Bel and Efrain; a large extended family.

Preceded in death by her mother, Delfina.

Family and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Monday, October 14th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond IN, 46323. Funeral service will be held on Thursday October 17, 2024 at St. James the Less Catholic Church 9640 Kennedy Avenue, Highland In 46322. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gregory Bim-Merle Celebrant. Burial to follow at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, IN.

Martha grew up in Chicago but had lived in Texas for 17 years before finally settling in Hammond 7 years ago. She enjoyed music and had a heart for taking care of family, especially her husband, son and grandchildren. Martha was selfless when it came to helping others.

Rest in peace dear "BiBi" you will be missed by all who knew you.
